Our Full Tilt August lineup celebrates two artists who both, in their time, broke the mold of what was regarded as the “typical” composer. Tanglewood Learning Institute will bring these creators and their artistic genius to the forefront for a new generation of adventurous audiences in the present day. Join us in exploring the compelling—and subversive—legacies of John Cage and Joseph Bologne.
Tanglewood Learning Institute | O'Keeffe Weekend
Georgia O’Keeffe once said her art was meant to express “the wideness and wonder of the world as I live in it.” For many, her art epitomizes America’s stark, contemplative, wide-open spaces. While millions have been moved by her towering accomplishments as a visual artist, her legacy reaches far beyond the canvas. O’Keeffe’s spirit, personality, and unique sensibility have manifested themselves in popular songs, stunning photographs, and a treasure trove of letters. More than 30 years after her death, we remain firmly in the thrall of her legacy.
